Politics is a tool for social and economic change. Serving the underprivileged and the poor is a politician’s responsibility. Pamela Goswami, a state secretary of the youth wing (BJP) has worked for the goodwill of the country and its people for several years, her goals and visions residing within the core of her work. As a woman herself, she has put forward a proactive approach towards the welfare of women and children, contributing to the ‘Beti Padhao Beti Bachao’ movement.She works with equal passion with the underprivileged along with a holistic approach with her abilities of empathy and dedication. Pamela has worked her way through several steps which includes but is not limited to- The observer of Hooghly district, National Media Panelist, BJP Youth wing spokesperson, Cultural incharge of the State of West Bengal and Food Corporation of India (FCI), Government of India. Her position has demanded her attention and capabilities to some of the core and necessary sectors dedicated to the welfare and growth of our country, leading her to build an ever growing sense of responsibility towards the people.In addition, Pamela Goswami has also dedicated her time in Manipur and worked before as well as during the elections recently. She has also worked as a Legal Advisor for several months. She has partaken closely with the Jal Jeevan Mission, a campaign envisioned to provide all rural Indian households with access to safe and sufficient drinking water via individual tap connections by 2024. Her notable involvements in the Kisan Vikas Yojana, a campaign focused of the uplifting of the farmers of India as well as the Pradhan Mantri Abhas Yojana, an initiative launched by the Indian government to provide urban poor with affordable housing, with a goal of building 2 crore such homes, are appraised to this date.
